NFL Week #2 Picks

Ok, in NFL Week # 1 we had 3 wins and 2 losses for a = + $77.50

We wagered $350.00 and won $77.50 for a return of 22%. Not exactly an earth shattering wagering day, but no one should ever complain about making 22% on their money FOR THE WEEKEND.

On to this week’s picks:

1 – The Raiders were able to hang with the Chargers last week losing a thriller with 18 seconds. They showed some of the swagger that the Raiders are known for. The Chiefs are not the Chargers. Brodie Croyle is 0-9 as a starting QB and I don’t see that trend changing if he plays. If Matt Cassel is healthy enough to start they have a fighting chance but I don’t think it’s enough with his 1st game with his new team. He doesn’t exactly have the offensive talent behind them that he did last year.

$50 - Oakland Raiders (Money line) (+140)

2 - Not exactly sure what team that was last week but it wasn’t the “same old Jets.” They are going to pressure Brady all day and he’s not moving too well. I’m sure Moss, Welker and Faulk will have 25 catches between them but they will all be 6 yard passes. Sure the Patriots are still the Patriots and if you give them an opportunity to win the game, they will do it like they did last week, but the Patriots were exposed. Had the Bills special teams not turned the ball over the Bills would have won the game. The Jest special teams will be better than the Bills, especially with Leon Washington anchoring them.

$50 – New York Jets (Money line) (+170)

3 – The Redskins aren’t a bad team. They should shine playing teams out of the NFC East.

$75 – Washington Redskins -9.5 (-115)

4 – Take Troy Polamalu off the Steelers; Brian Urlacher off the Bears and the Steelers are still more than 3 points better than the Bears. I don’t care where the game is.

$75 – Pittsburgh Steelers -3.0 (-105)

5 –This week we are playing one college game again. Ohio St. lost to USC last week but there is no shame in that. They played a great game and will run away with this one as Toledo will be no match. Take the Buckeye’s and the points.

$75 - Ohio St. -20.5 (-110)
