The Doctor is in...

Question #1: Who will be the better fantasy back this year, Darren Sproles or LaDainian Tomlinson? – Mark, Yale University

Mark: Even a Yalie should know that LT is one of the top RB's to play in the NFL over the last few years. Did you already lose faith in him with one sub par year? Dr. Roto has not. Barring injury, LT should be back to form.

Question #2: Who will have a better fantasy sophomore year, Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco? – Eddie, Akron, MI

Eddie: Dr. Roto actually likes Joe Flacco a lot. The only problem, though, is that he plays in a run first offense. On the other hand, Matt Ryan has some big weapons at his disposal. Plus, the Falcons added Tony Gonzalez at TE. Turner plus White, plus Tony G should equal big numbers from Matty Ice.

Question #3: I play in a modified league where we can pick defensive players and sacks and interceptions are categories. Can you give me two or three names that would be good for getting sacks? – Ralph, Old Bridge, NJ

Ralph: Dr. Roto is going to give you a stud, a solid, and a sleeper here for defense.
The Stud: DeMarcus Ware...a sack machine. The Solid: Kyle Vanden Bosch...coming off injury, he should be undervalued and still produce. The Sleeper: Chris Long...The Rams hired Spags to ramp up the Defense. Long is the kind of player that will do well in his system.

Question #4: I’m new to fantasy football. If I have a running back or receiver that runs back kick offs and or punts, do those yards count for me? – Samantha, De Pere, WI

Samantha: Unfortunately, Dr. Roto can't really answer that question for you. You need to check the rules of your league to see what counts.. If they do...grab Darren Sproles and Joshua Cribbs ASAP!

Question #5: When drafting a receiver, do you take into account who the guy throwing him the ball is? – Jerry, Buffalo, NY

Jerry: You better believe it! A great QB can make an average WR look great. But a mediocre QB can kill the stats of a great WR. Did you happen to watch the Bengals last year when Carson Palmer was out? Ochocinco and TJ Housh struggled mightily. TO will miss the days of Tony Romo after he plays with the mediocre Trent Edwards for a week or two....
