Roto-Rx

The Doctor is in...

If your question was not answered this time, you can also find Dr. Roto on his web site.

Question #1: Is LT still worth a 1st round pick? – Eddie, Colorado Springs, CO

Eddie: You bet he is! LT will actually be undervalued this year. If you can snag him somewhere in the middle to lower part of the first round I would do it in a second. Dr. Roto thinks that LT has too much pride not to have a big comeback season.

Question #2: As a Giants fan I love Brandon Jacobs but he scares me every time he touches the ball because I can see a fumble coming. Is that a reason to not draft him in my fantasy league? – Alex, Denver, CO

Alex: Unless you get penalized in your league for fumbles, Jacobs is still a monster. The Giants live and die by the running game and Jacobs is a horse who will get the carries barring injury. Try this to see if it helps...draft Jacobs but watch another game on Direct TV. That way you won't be too nervous and fail your next stress test.

Question #3: Do you think that Leon Washington will get enough touches to be a quality fantasy back? – David, Washington, DC

David: It depends on what your definition of quality fantasy back is. If you play in a PPR league, then Washington is excellent quality. If you are in a TD only league, then he is more of an afterthought. Dr. Roto likes Washington. More importantly, Rex Ryan like Washington. Good enough for me.

Question #4: I’m thinking that if I need a QB to win a NFL game I want Tom Brady but if I want to win a Fantasy point game I want Drew Brees. Sound logical? – Stephen, Jacksonville, FL

Stephen: Dr. Roto is a big fan of both Brady and Brees. Don't be surprised though to see Brees' numbers go down a bit this year. I expect that the 3 headed monster known as the Saints running game will impove a bit as well. Also, watch Brady come out throwing considering Fred Taylor and Laurence Maroney are a bit suspect in the Pats backfield. They will be close in fantasy points this year...very close.

Question #5: What is your take on Vince Young and his playing status this year? – Robert, Springfield. IL

Robert: Dr. Roto knows form his inside sources that Vince lost a lot of goodwill in the Titan lockerroom last year with his actions. Parenthetically, Kerry Collins built a lot of goodwill with his teammates after leading them to a great season. Collins will have every chance to lead this team. If he blows it, VY will be there to pick up the pieces. Dr. Roto might take a shot late in the draft with Young even without owning Collins. His talent is immense if he can keep his head on straight.
