Question #1: Who gets a better bump in fantasy value, Mark Sanchez or Braylon Edwards from the Edwards move to NY? – Jonathan, Almador City, CA

Jonathan: Dr. Roto will say Sanchez. Edwards is another weapon that should help Sanchez find his other players a bit more (paging Dustin Keller) and open up the offense too.

Question #2: Would you start McNabb this week or wait a week? – Pat, Temple University

Pat: I don't know who your backups are, but McNabb should be a decent play this week against Tampa. Tampa has been horrible on defense and this game should be a nice transition game for McNabb as he recovers from his injury.

Question #3: I have two Steelers running backs and need to dump one to fill other needs. Should I keep Parker or Mendenhall? – Adam, Binghamton

Adam: Willie Parker is still not fully recovered from his injury. Mendenhall is a sure starter against Detroit. Short-term pick is Mendenhall, although keep listening to what Mike Tomlin says about the situation. Willie Parker may be football's version of Wally Pipp.

Question #4: I’ve been offered a trade, Steve Slaton for Brandon Jacobs. Should I pull the trigger for Slaton? – Tim, Baldwin Park, CA

Tim: Slaton finally had a good game last week against the Titans. Jacobs has been struggling somewhat this season, but should get healthy against the Raiders. Tough call here, but I think I would stay with Jacobs. Slaton seems a bit tentative in his running and has had problems holding onto the ball. Jacobs is on one of the top rushing teams in the NFL. Close one, though....

Question #5: Who is the better fantasy QB, Aaron Rodgers or Matt Schaub? – Douglas, Reno, NV

Douglas: Dr. Roto is a fan of both QB's this year. Rodgers has a great arm, plays in an explosive offense and runs very well for a QB. Big problems are that is OL stinks and he has the toughest playoff schedule around. Schaub has some big weapons in Houston. He just needs to stay injury free. Dr. Roto will take Rodgers by a hair...mainly because of those rushing yards which may add up as he runs for his life most games!

The Black Hole is Too Big for Garcia

Just when you think the situation in the black hole of the NFL couldn’t get any worse, the Oakland Raiders shock the football world once again. On September 5, 2009, Jeff Garcia was officially cut from the Oakland Raiders after signing a one-year contract in April.

That’s right folks. Head coach Tom Cable has decided that if the Oakland starting quarterback JaMarcus Russell cannot play, either Bruce Gradkowski or Charlie Frye will be there anxiously waiting…

This has been quite an offseason for a team already in disarray. First, Oakland shocked everyone with the seventh pick in the draft by choosing Darrius Heyward-Bey (who was not projected to go that high) instead of Michael Crabtree. Then Tom Cable allegedly took out his frustrations out on his assistant coach and knocked him out with a sucker punch. And now apparently there is no room on Oakland’s final roster for Jeff Garcia.

Are you kidding? Garcia has taken three different teams to the playoffs. Not only did he do that, but two of those teams were mediocre at best. And yet, Garcia still gets no respect or praise for what he has done in his career.

It’s simple. Where ever he has played in his career, he has won. When he was in San Francisco for five years, he led the 49ers to the playoffs two years in a row (2001 and 2002) and advanced to the second round in 2002. When Donovan McNabb went down in Philadelphia in week 11 of the 2006 season, Garcia came in and took over. The Eagles were a .500 team at the time and had their playoff hopes crushed along with McNabb’s knee, but Garcia did what he does best…win. The Eagles ended that season going 5-1 down the stretch and won two playoff games. And then in 2007, he took and even worse team at the time, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and led them to the playoffs. Of course, the Bucs lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions - the New York Giants.

I’m not saying he would have taken the Raiders to the playoffs. I’m not even saying he would ever have started for Oakland. But the Raiders would be a much better team with him as a backup QB instead of Frye and Gradkowski. He is a proven winner with 11 years of experience… and he is currently not on a team. With that said, I’m sure Jeff Garcia is overjoyed now that he doesn’t have to play in the black hole. - Michael Klopman

Philly's Vick Vapor of Smoke

It’s really weird , quirky even.

The Philadelphia Eagles have dominated the Philly sports world since the 1980’s. But in that time frame they have religiously broken the hearts of Philadelphia time and time again . Yet, they always knew that they would have the city wrapped around its logo’s beak.

But times have changed as the Eagles’ next door neighbor, the world champion Philadelphia Phillies, have painted the town red. More over, they have positioned themselves for another championship run with a huge trade and maintaining first place baseball.

In years passed people would be salivating over the beginning of training camp in Bethlehem, PA. Philadelphians tend to go through Eagles withdrawal in the off season.

Not this year!

It’s almost as if the Eagles’ training camp didn’t even exist. It wasn’t on the fans radar screens. For the first time in decades the city didn’t care!

There was only one move that the Eagles had left to win back its city. All the top free agents were gone. They had only one option. Only one name could still the headlines and put the Eagles back on top.

Michael Vick!

The signing of the ex-con sent shockwaves throughout the city; immediately putting all eyes on football’s “gold standard” (as once proclaimed by owner Jeff Lurie).

All of a sudden Philadelphia became Eagleland again. Whether people hated Vick or not, the debates, the conversations, the news coverage, the water cooler talk was all about the Eagles.

That’s just the way they would have it.

What other reason would the Eagles’ take this big risk to bring Vick?

They don’t need a quarterback. They have a superstar in Donovan McNabb. They even have McNabb’s apprentice in Kevin Kolb. Plus, they have a proven back-up in A.J. Feeley.

There was no need for Vick at all.

It’s just a stunt.

The Eagles have become media attention whores who happened to become stale and dry. Ten years of the same old regime seems to do that.

Adding Michael Vick is a desperate move to regain the city which it owned.

Who would have cared about the Eagles-Jaguars MEANINGLESS preseason game otherwise?

Yet droves of national media descended upon Philadelphia on an obscure Thursday night just to cover Michael Vick.

Now, the Eagles have got their wish. All eyes are on them once again. But, as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. - Timothy Parker
