NFL Week #5 Picks

As often happens when you pick a lot of games you end up relatively flat. We picked 8 games last week and we went 4 & 4. It’s rare that you go 7 -1 or 1 -7, 5 - 3, 3 - 5 or 4 - 4 is more common. It’s easier to pick a small amount of games because you can select only those you have maximum conviction in. But we are here to pick so pick we shall do.

We’re not too disappointed thought because you can’t expect to be + every week, and much like stock trading, part of being successful is to keep you losers small. We did that this week.

Week #1 = + $77.50
Week #2 = + $72.50
Week #3 = + $20.00
Week #4 = - $12.00

Total = + $158.00 after 4 weeks.

Remember, we are using a $1,000 betting pot to start out with so we are up 15.8% after 4 weeks (winnings go to charity). Gotta turn it back around this week, here we go……

Syracuse is week again this year
$75 – West Virginia - 10.0 (-110)

FSU just doesn’t have the horses this year
$40 – Georgia Tech +3.0 (-110)

Rutgers has been playing well since game 1
$40 – Rutgers MONEYLINE (-110)

Until the Rams show me that they can hang with anyone, you have to pick against them.
$50 – Minnesota -10.0 (-110)

Dallas will finally put a good game together
$50 – Dallas – 8.5 (-110)

16 points is a lot to give in the NFL but unless their defense scores, I just don’t see Oakland scoring any points.
$50 - NY Giants -16.0 (-110)

We’ll go with the Jets here in a blow out. If they don’t win convincingly here, our outlook on them this season will change.
$50 - NY Jets (-2.0) (-110)
